| Grant first began playing the guitar when he was 6 years old. In a few
short months, he had developed the skills necessary to play in front of
a live audience. On a visit to Nashville's Second Fiddle Honky Tonk in
the summer of 2002, future Nashville Star runner-up Lance Miller
invited Grant to the stage for an impromptu performance. After Grant
shocked the packed house, Lance joked, "Stay in school. Don't come to
Nashville. We don't need any more around here!" From then on, Grant was hooked on performing live. Over the past 5 years Grant has toured numerous miles. He's played many festivals, fairs, school and church programs, and private parties. His 2006 Kids Don't Try This at Home Tour included stops in Knoxville, Lebanon, TN, Mobile, AL and his hometown of Cleveland, TN, among others. Grant's interests aren't limited to music. He's a straight-A student, a magician, and he is a member of his school's tennis team, band and student council. He is the "father" of two beagles, Ginger and Mary Ann, an ornery cat named MacGyver, and Lord Barkley a Holland Lop rabbit. |
